We have two services:

10:45a.m. Traditional

Visiting a church for the first time can be pretty scary. At Eberly’s Mill, we want you to feel at home the first time you walk through our doors. We want you to be able to experience great music, encouraging messages, friendly people, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Here is a quick look at what you can expect during your first visit to Eberly’s Mill Church of God.

First thing’s first…how do I get there?

Eberly’s Mill is located at 115 Creek Rd. Finding directions to us on Google Maps is pretty easy, but could be a little tricky when you get closer to the church. If you’re driving south on Creek Road, you’ll see a cross shaped hedge on the hillside corner of Cedar Cliff Drive and Creek Road. We are the first driveway on your left after Cedar Cliff Drive. We’ve got a nice white “Eberly’s Mill Church of God” sign out front, so you’ll know you’re in the right place.

If you’re traveling west on Cedar Cliff Drive, follow it all the way to the stop sign. You’ll see the cross shaped hedge on your left as you’re stopped at the stop sign. Turn left, and we’re the first driveway on your immediate left.

If you’re on Creek Road heading North, it could get a little trickier. After you pass the Auto Body Pros building on your right, you’ll want to keep an eye out. After the guard rail on your right, our entrance will be a sharp right-hand turn up the driveway. The sign is a little hard to see from this direction. If you’ve passed Cedar Cliff Drive, you’ve gone too far.

What should I wear?

We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. You’ll find all kinds of different styles of dress here. So if you’re having a hard time deciding between a suit and tie or some jeans and a hoodie, you’ll fit in either way.

What's available for my kids?

At Eberly’s Mill, we know that, as a parent, you are concerned for the safety of your children. We also know that your children are looking for a FUN place to learn. Our ministry for infants through 6th graders invests a lot of resources to make sure both of these goals are reached. Age appropriate classes that include music, Bible lessons, and activities are held during the worship service. If you have specific questions about these ministries, please contact the church office at (717)761-3282.

What's the worship service like?

At Eberly’s Mill, we have two styles of worship: Contemporary and Traditional.

At our contemporary service, we start things off with our full worship band, complete with guitars, drums, vocals, and the occasional piano. We sing a few songs, and the lyrics will be available for you on the monitors, so it’s easy to follow along. We have a kids’ message, then those in grades 1-6 are dismissed to go downstairs to our wee worshipers (ages 2-kindergarden) or junior church service (grades 1-6). (Nursery is available throughout the entire service.) After our sermon intro and prayer time, our Pastor Jim speaks for about 20-25 minutes. We finish off with a song or two from the band. From beginning to end, the whole service lasts about an hour.

In between services, we offer Sunday school classes for all age groups. You’re more than welcome to stay and check those out but certainly not obligated. We have classrooms downstairs in the basement and one in the sanctuary.

At our traditional service, we start things off with a quick hymn, participate in a responsive reading, then sing a full hymn. We have a kids’ message, then those in grades 1-6 are dismissed to go downstairs to our wee worshipers (ages 2-kindergarden) or junior church service (grades 1-6). After our sermon intro and prayer time, for all but the summer months, the choir prepares a song for special music. Pastor Jim speaks for about 20-25 minutes, then we finish off with a closing hymn. From beginning to end, the whole service lasts about an hour.
